Hwy. 216:08 – Anthony Henday Drive (Jct. Hwy. 16 to Jct. 137 Ave.)

About the Project

This project consisted of constructing 2.53 km. for the extension of Anthony Henday Drive, from North of Highway 16 (Yellowhead Trail) to the junction of 137th Avenue, The West Regional Road Connector from Anthony Henday Drive to the junction of 137th Avenue and the future 184th Street to the West Regional Road Connector.

Construction on this project started with clearing in September of 2005. Grading work was done late into the 2005 season and continued into the 2006 construction season. Surfacing work was completed in August of 2006.

Our Role

For this project Stewart, Weir & Co. Ltd. was in partnership with I.S.L. Engineering. Our role consisted of the contract administration and project supervision. This included project management, construction survey, quality assurance testing and final earthwork quantity calculations.
