Hwy. 947:12 – (Athabasca River to Hwy. 43.)

About the Project

This project consisted of the construction of 20.218 km. of Highway 947, from the Athabasca River to Highway 43. Construction on this project started in April of 2007, and is ongoing at this time. This section of roadway is very busy with heavy truck traffic from the logging, oil field and gravel industries.

Our Role

For this project Stewart, Weir has been involved since the start of the project, starting with proposals, preliminary survey, design, tender preparation and construction. The construction aspect includes contract administration, project management, construction survey, and quality assurance testing. Final detail quantities will have to be compiled at the completion of the project.
